Video doorbells offer peace of mind, from seeing when a package is delivered to being able to respond to someone at your front door even if you’re not at home. Viewing your front door at any time is extremely helpful, but it can often be a little on the expensive side. But today, Amazon is offering the Ring Video Doorbell Wired, its best budget video doorbell, for just $45 — down from its usual price of $60.

Ring’s Video Doorbell Wired offers 1080p video with motion-detection features and two-way talking from either your phone or an Amazon Echo. You can hear the chime on both your phone and an Echo when someone comes near or when the doorbell is pressed, depending on your settings. And the same video features you’ll find handy during the day work at night too, thanks to a night vision mode. Read our Ring Video Doorbell Wired review.
Want to sweeten the deal? Amazon is throwing in an older third-gen Echo Dot for an additional $10. While that was a freebie at the $45 sale price back on Prime Day, the bundle or the standalone offer is still a great deal on a solid video doorbell.
As always with Ring products, make sure you’re comfortable with the company’s evolving relationship with law enforcement before you buy — and keep in mind you can opt out of some of the Ring devices’ data-sharing.
